Be aware of cost if buying from the UK

I bought two pairs of sandals but if you are from the UK you will not get free shipping and there is also a customs and excise charge for VAT etc, the list price of the £89 sandals ended up costing me £124.69 per pair, however the quality of the sandals are excellent, good design and well crafted which will last for years, worth every penny.

Just perfect

I have athletic and thin feet, and this sandal fits perfectly well. Still I can imagine people with wider feet to wear them, due to the adjustable nature of leather. The leather seems sturdy but still flexible enough to not cause much pain when fitting the sandals to ones feet during the first couple of days wearing. And the leather is properly washed before usage, so it doesn't stink, but is fragrant. I bought the version with rubber soles, so I don't know yet how durable the soles itself are, or the glue used to apply them. Thank you for this quality product! One suggestion: If you attach a small note to the shoes with the handwritten name of the shoemaker and even the production date, it will add to the perception of quality, and doesn't cost much time or effort to do so. Great Job!

Une belle paire de sandales sur semelles cuir en montage Blake. J’ai fait ajouter des patins semelles et talons pour protéger les coutures et améliorer un peu le confort sans casser la ligne fine de ce modèle afin de lui conserver son « chic ». Cuir à tannage végétal dans la tradition toscane : un peu raide au début il se travaille très bien, s’assouplit vite et facilement, devrait acquérir vite une belle patine (qu’on peut déjà facilement simuler en jouant avec des crèmes pigmentées pour lui donner un superbe aspect vintage) et demeurer très résistant. Très content de cet achat, surtout pour son prix raisonnable : elles évoquent le modèle « Barney » d’une grande marque anglaise en beaucoup moins cher.

too small

I was disappointed because the sandals are too small and there is no way to return them to you. In the future and because sizes are smaller in Italy (I noticed), it would be better to include the actual foot size with the shoe size. Mine is 43, but an italian 43 is more like a 41 or 42 elsewhere.

Conoscevo già i sandali artigianali "Gianluca" venduti su Italian Boutique e li uso da anni avendoli acquistati durante alcune mie visite a Firenze. Ora ho scoperto con piacere che è possibile ordinarli anche online. Ho acquistato un sandali francescani (modello 502) nell'opzione con suola in gomma spessa (British). Sono comodissimi e la suola spessa li rende più confortevoli soprattutto se si cammina su fondo non stradale non perfettamente liscio. Sono completamente soddisfatto e consiglierei l'acquisto.
